This guy's video does a horrible job at showcasing the sound of an NL2 but his excitement is genuine because thats the same I have felt every time I buy a Nord lead:Ĭlick to expand. You dont underestimate how much DAC play in the role of a hw synth compared to soft synth version.

A real disappointment considering that is the mainly selling point of that vst. I imported the NL2 factory preset midi files on the Discovery and they werent even close.
#DISCODSP DISCOVERY PRO SPLIT KEYBOARD CUSTOM UPGRADE#
After selling my NL2X to upgrade to an N元, I wanted still use a handful of presets which I loved on the NL2 series. I also never had any issues with stuck notes on the Nord Wave.Īs far as comparing Discovery to Nord Lead, it's just not even close. I can confirm that notes do get stuck on the NL2 and NL2X which happened frequently, but although the A1 has a panic button I have yet to experience stuck notes in the 5 years that Ive owned it. When you buy Clavia synth, youre buying it for 2 things: immediacy and the character of the sound. I sold the NL2 to upgrade to a NL2X and wish I hadn't because the updated DAC's on the NL2X changed the character of sound, same patches but a bit crisper and colder than the NL2. My favorite of them all are the A1 (which I still own and use daily), and the Nord Lead 2. I've owned every iteration of the Lead series with the exception of a Nord Lead 1.
